Ke$ha – Blow (Video)
This place is bout to blow alright cause Ke$ha is killing it! I just watched Ke$ha’s new video for Blow and it is AH-mazing! It has everything you could have ever wanted in a video… unicorns, rainbows, Ke$ha not looking homeless, fighting, champes, and of course a sexy looking James Van Der Beek. The dialogue between Ke$ha and James had me weak… The whole video is just so over the top ridiculous. It is what I imagine Benutty’s dreams to be like because that fool has some far out dreams.

Jennifer Lopez – On The Floor (Feat. Pitbull)
J-Lo has returned to making simple dance songs and I love it. I was a big J-Lo fan back in the day but then she decided to get really ghetto, and I am sorry… it just did not work for me. This song does have some rap in it, but it doesn’t ruin the song like the way the rap at the beginning of Umbrella by Rihanna ruined that song. I know a lot of the songs on her new album were produced by Red One so it sounds like it is going to be a good album. Looking forward to it. Let’s just hope her video is good.

Let’s review some new music:
–Britney Spears: Hold It Against Me–
I’d like to start by saying there is nothing special about this song. Secondly I would like to remind people of another song that came out in 2009… it was Madonna’s Celebration which was completely panned by all for being too basic with a dated club sound. Now fast forward to 2011 and Britney has released a song that is in my opinion also too basic with a dated club sound. Apparently Madonna is still ahead of music trends… who knew? I would also like to point out how this songs pattern is much like Rihanna’s Only Girl (In The World). Listen to the two and tell me there isn’t a similarity.
In the end this song is lacking greatly in epic-ness! Comparing this song to the likes of Oops… I Did It Again, Gimme More, and Womanizer (other lead singles) this one just has no unique qualities to it. I’ve listened to it 5 times now, and I am already bored.
HATE IT!
–Avril Lavigne: What The Hell–
Over the years I have grown to like Avril Lavigne’s music, but don’t get me wrong I still hate Sk8r Boi… possibly one of the worst songs ever made. But with songs like Don’t Tell Me, Keep Holding On and I’m With You (one of my personal favorite songs ever) she has certainly grown. This does not mean that I am not always worried about something new… her recent song for the Alice in Wonderland movie sucked, but this new song I actually like a lot. It is ridiculously poppy and upbeat, and hello it’s message is about saying fuck it lets just have fun.
Although this song is not original in any way (much like Britney’s new song) it is actually fun to listen to which can’t be said for Britney’s new tune. This song will inspire me at work tomorrow to say… fuck it lets have fun instead! I’m sure my boss will appreciate it.

2010 did not have as many fantastic albums as 2009 had, but with the albums that did come out there were some damn good songs. Here is my list of my Top 10 most played songs of 2010. (This is according to the play count on my iTunes, and the song had to be released in 2010).

#10: Katy Perry – Teenage Dream
I was actually surprised to see that I listened to this song so much, but I have to believe that it is only this high because of Glee. After the Glee version of this song came out I started listening to Katy Perry again… so that must be it.

#9: Smashing Pumpkins – Freak
Obviously I have always been a fan of the Smashing Pumpkins, and now that they are making new music again I am tickled pink…or um orange! This song really reminds me of the stuff they used to release back in the late 90′s as b-sides. Livin’ it and lovin’ it.

#8: Robyn – Time Machine
This bitch tore last year apart! If this song had been released earlier last year it would have been way up on this list. I love this song, and as I type I am listening to it. If you haven’t listened to Robyn’s new music then you are a dumb ass.

#7: Rihanna – Only Girl (In The World)
It really sucks that Rihanna has become one of those artists who has like one or two good songs on their albums. I had so much hope for her new album when I heard this first single, and when I finally got to listen to the album (which took a while because Benutty never sent it to me like he said he would) it was just a huge let down. This song is amazing though, and I dare you not to dance while listening to it.

Ok… so I really hated this song when I first heard it. I gave it a second chance when Body Talk pt. 2 came out, and totally fell in love with it. Listen to it and love it!

#5: Scissor Sisters – Night Work
Thank the gods that the Scissor Sisters decided to do a dance album. The whole album is super amazing, but this song is especially good. It kind of makes you want to go out at night and hang out with prostitutes, or dress in drag and go to the Castro followed by the Penny.

#4: Kylie Minogue – Get Outta My Way
Like Rihanna, I was fairly disappointed in Kylie Minogue’s new album. It didn’t seem to have any substance… just a lot of mindless, not very well thought out songs. I don’t even know how to explain it properly, but if you heard it I am sure you know what I mean. There were a couple highlights to her album though… Aphrodite was one of them, but in the end Get Outta My Way totally stayed with me thru out the year. The video really helped this song out also…. look it up… totally cuties.

#3: Goldfrapp – Rocket
I don’t know what it is about this song, but I fucking love it and I could listen to it non-stop… oops and I did. The video is a little out there, but I love that it looks very 80′s. I Wanna Life by Goldfrapp just missed my top 10, but it is also a must listen!

By far my favorite song on their new album. I mean honestly you should just listen to their full album because it is just that good. It is better than their other 2 albums combined. It is super gay, super dancey, and super fun. Only homophobes would hate this album haha.

Ok so really… Scissor Sisters and Robyn tie this past year as my favorite. This song really grabbed me, and I still listen to this song all the time. You need to seriously just buy the 3 albums Robyn released this past year because the majority of the songs are fantastic. This is the music that I wished Madonna was making right now, but you can’t have everything.

I hate stupid people with umbrellas. Like the person who walks on to the bus letting their wet umbrella drip on every ones knees as they walk to the back of the bus. The person who doesn’t pay attention where he is going (or doesn’t care) and constantly bumps into your own umbrella. And the worst of all… The stupid people who walk around with their umbrella open when it’s not even raining anymore!!! Put that shit away you fucking idiots!

Sports – The Winter Olympics
I have been obsessed with the Winter Olympics this month!!! It’s so nice to see different types of sports on TV at prime time. Basketball, Football, and Baseball just get so fucking boring to watch all the time. Highlights for me were Snowboard Cross, Ski Cross, Ice Dancing, Luge, Speed Skating, and Figure Skating. It’s sad to write this though because today was the last day of the Olympics… I’m watching the closing ceremonies as I write this, but I guess I’ll have to start looking forward to the 2012 Summer Olympics in London.

It’s so easy to keep tracked of everything, and it even sends you reminders to enter in your meals. You can also add friends, and lose weight together. Sadly none of my friends wanted to join with me.
