Yeah! What DOES That Make You?

Apparently it was Ke$ha that said this, and NOT Gary-Ke$ha as originally assumed by national media:

“I have a song I wrote the other night called Take It Off about when I went to a drag show and how really turned on I was by these transvestite men taking clothes off. I was like, what does that even make me?”

It makes you Alfie.

Let me add my yearbook quote too …

With all this talk about yearbook quotes, I thought it would only be fitting to add mine too.

Buildings having floors used for human occupancy located more than 75 feet above the lowest level of Fire Department access shall have a Fire Safety Director. The Fire Safety Director shall posses a certificate of completion of a Fire Department training program. Such certificates shall be valid for not more than five years.

Oh wait, my high school didn’t do “yearbook quotes”.

My High School Yearbook Quote

Benutty’s post about high school yearbook quotes reminded me of my quote. I think these quotes are kinda silly. No. Not the quotes. But the fact that high schoolers are burdened with this type of quest. Like my dumbass 18 year old goat self had any sense to make heads or tails of the world. And then that baby goat is tasked with somehow finding a miraculously poignant poem or quote that sums up his existence in 140 characters or less to fit under his senior goat photo. Bla. Anyway…

My quote’s from Henry David Thoreau (HDT is seriously my author crush) and it goes like this:

When it’s time to die, let us not discover that we have never lived.”

Short. Simple. And oddly enough sums up what I knew was important then and what I certainly know is important now.

Now where’s that bottle of champes.

Quoted It

I can’t take it. This blog thing is geeking me the fuck out. I want to eat the blog, marry the blog, suck the cum out of the blog’s ass with a mother fucking draq queen straw!

When I was thinking ’bout what to write in my “about me” cheering section I knew I wanted to put a favorite quote of mine. Whitman won out, but this quote I also love and wanted to share con las mamis. I used it as my Senior Quote in high school, and reading it today makes me certain I knew who I was even back then…

Louis L’Amour:
Up to a point a man’s life is shaped by environment, heredity, and movements and changes in the world about him. Then there comes a time when it lies within his grasp to shape the clay of his life into the sort of thing he wishes to be. Only the weak blame parents, their race, their times, lack of good fortune, or the quirks of fate. Everyone has it within his power to say, This I am today, that I will be tomorrow.

Champes,
