Yahoo Comments

I read Yahoo news sometimes and I have to tell you that the comments I see sometimes are truly frightening!  It seriously makes me sick that there are so many people who think this way in this country.  It is evident that our education system is failing on every level.  The amount of hate people have is disgusting!!!  What do you think:

Yahoo Comments on Gay Marriage/Prop 8 Decision:

“die you sick trash, there is nothing cool about being gay”
“eww don’t touch me you HIV bag”
“try to get married in my town and you find yourself hanging from a tree.  “
“maybe death camps weren’t a bad idea after all”

Yahoo Comments on Muslims/Mosque at Ground Zero:

“i agree with george. this is a christian nation ” one nation under GOD, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all. not one nation under mohammed with beheadings for the infidels…. don’t like go move back to islamic lands…”
“Islam is not a religion…it is a CULT! And as such, should be illegal!”
“The only reason that a mosque is being built near ground zero is because Obozo is a muslim… That is the only reason and that he promised Bloomberg something! Any other president would not of let this happen! I have never been so ashamed of a president!”
“Okay Real Americans, hunting season is about to begin, no limit on muslims, there will be a big herd of them at the site of the world trade center soon.”

Yahoo Comments on Obama:

“Blame the white girl who got jungle fever in kenya”
“That is the ugliest family in America. Burn in HELL Obama’s ! ! ! Take you NY Mosque with you”
“forgive me as i am becoming a racist… where do i sign up for the kkk”
“Normally I have no wish to cause harm to any other human being…But in this case… I’d ‘SKIN’ that leftist pig Obama AND his wife with a pair of vice-grips… :)

Sadly this is the country we live in, and these are the fucking morons who are going to get republicans voted back into office. Great!   We are all doomed!

D@2 Federal Bloggers Concur: Prop 8 IS Unconstitutional!

Today a California Federal Judge ruled that the voter-approved Prop 8 is unconstitutional based on due process and equal protection! And the federalated, pixelated, circulated, undulated, circumsizelated D@2 bloggers concur! Chief Justice Nick wrote in his official opinion: “This shits is hella wrong. And unlawful! And, on a personal note, I love our decision. I was looking for a reason to pop a bottle of champes tonight. Holla!” Justice Shawnito supported the CJ with an HJ and then a BJ, while saying “Discrimination is never the answer. Mormons have been discriminated against for being polygamists and for being way too blonde for their own good since they orgied their way across the Great Plains to the salt-licks and bathhouses of Utah — so they should know how it feels! I’m proud of our decision to shove the proverbial gay dick in their $22 million dollar mouths! But I’m worried for my drunk nights out now because I may wake up married. It is nice to see California get its shits together.”

As big of a victory as this seems today, there will still be an appeal to the Court of Appeals and then most likely an appeal after that to the US Supreme Court where a ruling would be finally finalized. For now the judge has issued a temporary stay, leaving Prop 8 temporarily still valid through the appeals process unless he issues a permanent stay or denies a stay, the latter being a point at which homos could get married again.

The lone female judge on the D@2 court, Justice Gary Jr., had this to say: “This is one small victory but the battle for basic rights continue. In the end buggery prevails!”

And she’s right. While we wait for a ruling to be official once and for all on gay marriage, it is important for us as gays, friends & family of gays, and Aunt Frawns to continue fighting the good fight. As important as it is to volunteer and donate money in support of gay marriage advocacy, another effective means of fighting is to lead by example. I call on all of you — bloggers and readers — to continue living as the respectable representatives of our community that you are! Keep hosting fabulous drag parties that everyone is jealous, continue living in a loving relationship with your committed long-term partner, be a responsible and caring family member and friend, hold doors for old ladies, be ideal employees that your boss can be proud of, don’t jaywalk, vote!, make money, tend gardens, spend your money to improve the economy, be a teacher or a mentor to a child, start a blog and be funny on it, etc. etc. etc. you get the point.

There is no better way to show the world that gay men and women are assets to their community and are deserving of equal happiness and rights than by leading by example. Strive to touch the lives of every person you come to meet because each could potentially have never met a gay before and the first impression they get from you could change the way they view the entire gay community AND the way they vote on gay issues.

Always live by RuPaulisms, and don’t fuck it up.
