Gary Jr.’s Oscar Party
Mar 7th
Tonight I attended Gary Jr’s oscar party, and let me tell you… It was a real hoot. Gary Jr. made his world famous pulled pork sandwiches, and the guest I dislike the most left the event even before it started… Score! Jay brought his mother’s world famous black bottom cupcakes… yummies…. yes! And I brought my award winning personality.
No oscar party is complete without an oscar pool, and Gary promised a fantastic prize this year. After some ups and downs I finally won the pool by guessing the winners of 13 categories correct, and what was this fantastic prize I won? Money? Glitz? Glamour? Fame?…nope… This!

The Oscars are Around the Corner…
Jan 5th
…and I thought I might list who I think the nominees might be. The official nominations for the 82nd Academy Awards will be announced on February 2, 2010 at 5:30am PST. (Right after the hunnies have died).
Now for this post, I am listing who I think is most likely to be nominated for an Academy Award (in my humble opinion). I definitely am not saying that these people/movies are my favorite but I’m trying to think like a haughty member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences but in some cases, I might agree. I’ll let you know what I think as I go.
Anyway, it’ll be fun to see what happens on February 2 and then at the big event on March 7! Once the nominations come out, I’ll post again and see how close I came to predicting the future. And then I’ll let you know who I think will win based on the actual nominations.
Happy Movie Watching!
