First, you know I love Modern Family and the gay couple. Well, what could be better than 1/2 of that gay couple singing a lounge version of Alejandro. Plus, you know how much I love loungey cocktail music. Damn. I want JTF’s babies…especially because he is gay in real life and I must therefore believe that he is also a chubby chaser (since everything on TV is true).

Yes, I jumped on the bandwagon this month thanks to Heifer 1 and Heifer 2. I’ve been dieting since April 1. I had a little set back this week only losing .5 pounds but since April 1, I have lost 8.5 pounds and 10.5 from my heaviest (which was mid-March).
Movie ReRun – Shaun of the Dead
It’s just so funny. It’s been on Comedy Central this month. I love that for the whole morning commute during the opening scenes everyone is dead tired and zombie-like and then 20 minutes those same scenes happen again except everyone around him is a zombie. I love zombie movies like nobody’s business. I even have zombie exit strategies. I think about this shit while I’m playing Catan in the restroom.
Music– Shampain by Martina and the Diamonds
So I’ve been riding my exercise bike a lot. And I’ve been grooving out to my jams. But let me tell you that I pump a lot faster when this Martina and the Diamonds diddy comes on the shuffle. The clip calls it Shampain Sleeper but it’s just Shampain. Also about 2 weeks ago, I tweeted some lyrics from this song and Nick got mad at me for drinking champagne when I should be dieting. Bitch, I was singing and not cheating. I feel celestial! Yyyes.

This shit is amazing. I wasn’t too big of a fan of it when it first came out, but after seeing her perform it on American Idol I jumped on board. Compared to all the other idiots who performed awful renditions of otherwise good songs (see: Rihanna, Alicia Keys, Ke$ha, Adam Lambert) on the show, MJB proved that she’s still in the business for a reason! — she knows how to sing and how to put on a good show. And, seriously, who else could pull off a LZ song like that?
Glee Quote – Santana in “The Power of Madonna”
“It’ll be great for my image, and Sue will promote me to head cheerleader. It’s win-win.” This bitch is so classic. Love her to death. Nick told me there’s a rumor the Cheerios might get their own spin-off, and if Santana and Brittany are a part of it then it’ll surely be gaymazing.

Hello! It’s Farmville meets Sim City and it is wondrous. I got everyone hooked on it and I can’t freaking wait until I grow enough broccoli to purchase my Magic Emporium and a second Watch Tower! Ooh girl, gotta go collect taxes from my cottages. Huhhnns. I kind of want an iPad just so I can play this on a bigger screen.

TV Show: Chelsea Lately
Late nights would not be the same without Chelsea Handler. I love the way she interviews people, and she will just stare at them with that blank disgusted look. So good. The clip I linked to is one of my favorite interviews she has done.

Tyler Oakley makes a lot of cute lil videos on YouTube. He is a very witty guy, and always makes me laugh. This clip of him putting condoms on random shit had me weak. Loves it.

Big thanks to Nick for introducing me to Goldfrapp’s latest hit Rocket. Goldfrapp popped out a new album and not all of it is good. But I certainly love this one and also I Want a Life. God I love it. Let the legwarmers and flashdances begin again!
TV Episode: Ab Aeterno
No seriously. Lost killed me this month. The episode called Ab Aeterno where Richard Alpert’s story is finally revealed was an amazing moment for all Lost fans. I’m still not sure if I really like where the story might be headed or any of the explanations about what the island really is. I simply just don’t know. However, this was a beautiful episode and a win for Nestor Carbonell.

So there’s this new thing called Chatroullete or something and it puts random strangers into a room together to chat. I don’t know exactly what the hell it is and frankly I don’t care. But anyway…Jay sent me this clip that totally killed me. I watched the whole thing and laughed the whole time. This piano man is super talented.
American Idol Contestant: Nobody
Sorry. I just didn’t really like anyone this month on American Idol. I mean, it’s very generic. Even the good people aren’t surprising me and making me this that’s a star. I mean the Janis Joplin linebacker is likely going to win but frankly so what who cares! Also, what’s wrong with all the teeth on American Idol. Have you seen Bowersox and Urban smile? Something’s amiss.

As all of you know, I simply love watching Benutty dance. It must be all that black semen cuz homegirl’s got the moves. I guess I also like watching her dance for the same reason I bottleneck on the freeway when there’s an accident or why I laugh when children fall down. Regardless, this is one of our best posts this month because it was created by one of my favorite hunnies and because it stars one of my favorite hunnies.

American Idol Performance – Siobhan Magnus, “House of the Rising Sun“
From the very first note I knew this would be one of the best Idol performances ever. Siobhan has a crazy style and a near immaculate voice, making her the only thing that could have saved AI post-Glambert.
TV Series – Life
OMG. I spent Monday watching 4 of these in a row (Challenges, Reptiles/Amphibians, Mammals, and Fish) and I am completely in love. Like Planet Earth, Life brings together some crazy good footage of wildlife in slow motion. Among the best shots so far are komodo dragons stalking a wounded water buffalo for days, a pebble toad escaping a predator by going ridged and rolling itself down a mountain, baby mudskippers spitting out mudballs, and the hungry tongues of a chameleon grabbing things from 50 feet away (so Gary Jr. of them)!

I’m so proud of hog for making a change in her life, and I have to credit her for inspiring and supporting me in my own journey down the same path of weight loss! Healthy eating is so D@2010.
Diet Update 03/22/10

So I was having some major issues reading my scale at home this weekend, and after some research online I learned that if a scale you are using gives you a different reading every time you step on it then it is not working properly. This was the exact issue I was having with my scale. Well I can’t have none of that. I did some more research online to figure out what the best inexpensive scale is, and of course Target had it. My new scale is awesome, and since it has a digital display it makes it so much easier to read. Yesssss. So this week (according to my new scale) I am 200 pounds. This means that I have one more pound to lose to meet my first goal of being under 200 pounds. I’m super excited because when I meet my goal later this week it will be in the first time in like 4 years or so that I will be under 200. Yesssss.
02/15/10 – 212 pounds
02/22/10 – 212 pounds (Failed)
03/01/10 – 210 pounds (-2)
03/08/10 – 205 pounds (-5)
03/15/10 – 203 pounds (-2)
03/22/10 – 200 pounds (-3)
Total Lost to Date: 12 pounds
I also wanted to let everyone know that Benutty and Jay have been counting calories as well (using the LoseIt app on iPhone), and they have both been doing awesome jobs at losing weight as well. Good job hunnies!
