Diet Update 05/17/10

This past week I tried something new which didn’t make me lose more weight but it let me have a couple cheat days… which was nice.   Basically on the “Lose It” app you are supposed to count your calories for each day, and not go over your daily limit.  This past week I just made sure not to go over my weekly allowance.  This meant that on some  days I could go 200 to 400 calories over my daily limit, and then on another day go 200 to 400 under my daily limit.  I could do whatever I wanted as long as by the end of the week I was under.   I wasn’t sure what the results would be, but they turned out to be fairly average.  I lost 2 pounds this week.  I’m going to attempt to do this again this week and see how it goes.

Diet Update 05/10/10

Lost 2 more pounds this week, and finally met my second goal of 189 pounds!   So far I have lost 23 pounds.  Love it!   I set me new goal of 179 pounds today, and according to the app I should reach that goal in mid-June.  Exciting!   How is everyone else doing on their diets this week?

Diet Update 05/03/10

I only lost 1 pound this week.  I blame the margaritas I had on Friday for low weight loss this week hahaha.  No I am happy to lose anything… hello I was a heifer.   I completed a 20 mile bike ride this week, and I am going to do it again (weather permitting) this coming weekend as well.  Maybe I’ll ride 21 miles this weekend since I am down 21 pounds, and then every time I lose weight I’ll ride longer… yessssss.

Well I am glad I lost 2 more pounds this week… I was beginning to think that I was stuck at 196.   Sad news is a spoke on my bike broke, so I took it into the shop to get it fixed and get a tune up, and I won’t get it back til a week from Wednesday.   I guess I’ll be walking home a lot this week.

Diet Update 04/12/10

So I didn’t lose any weight this week, but I am not really sure why.  I mean, I had one bad day (Saturday)…so who knows.

In good news though, it is getting a lot easier for me to ride my bike.  I’ve been riding at a more difficult level which helps me keep better speed.  I can even keep up with these skinny bitches on Market Street finally.

Diet Update 04/05/10

Since my last check in I have now lost 3 more pounds.  I am down to 196.  Yay!   I know a lot of other farm friends are calorie counting to, so you guys should leave a comment on how much weight you have lost to date.

I’d like to give a special shout out to the one thing that has helped me the most while on this diet….. Turkey!    It’s the wonder meat folks.   I am substituting turkey in everything that I make, and to my surprise everything is turning out way better.   Last night I made a Turkey Meatloaf and it was truly excellent.   Get your turkey on bitches.

Diet Update 03/22/10

So I was having some major issues reading my scale at home this weekend, and after some research online I learned that if a scale you are using gives you a different reading every time you step on it then it is not working properly.  This was the exact issue I was having with my scale.  Well I can’t have none of that.  I did some more research online to figure out what the best inexpensive scale is, and of course Target had it.  My new scale is awesome, and since it has a digital display it makes it so much easier to read.  Yesssss.   So this week (according to my new scale) I am 200 pounds.  This means that I have one more pound to lose to meet my first goal of being under 200 pounds.  I’m super excited because when I meet my goal later this week it will be in the first time in like 4 years or so that I will be under 200.  Yesssss.

I also wanted to let everyone know that Benutty and Jay have been counting calories as well (using the LoseIt app on iPhone), and they have both been doing awesome jobs at losing weight as well. Good job hunnies!

Diet Update 03/15/10

This last week was not my best week, but I am glad I at least lost 2 pounds.  Saturday I got a little out of control with champes and cookies, but they were damn good!  Oh and those little bitches selling their girl scout cookies all over the place are not helping me one bit.

I’ll be riding my bike to work all week since it is finally nice.  I need to work these legs before I get troll thunder thighs.  That’s right, I said it.

Oh yea.. You know how when you wash your jeans they always seem to shrink, and you can’t fit in them as easily as you did before?  Well this morning…for the first time in a long time…mine were easy to put on.  What!!  Can I get a amen up in here?

Diet Update 03/08/10

Mama say what?!  I did a really good job this week of not going over my calorie limit, and I did some light exercise (biking, and walking).   By some miracle I seem to have lost 5 pounds since last week.  I don’t know where those 5 pounds were, but I hope they don’t come back.  In all seriousness though, I am glad to see this outcome because I really had to restrain myself all week not to eat everything that I wanted.  It’s nice to get rewarded for that.   I’m also glad I had enough calories left over yesterday to enjoy Gary Jr.’s world famous pulled pork sandwiches.  They were mighty delicious.

Diet Update 03/01/10

What a tough week!  The Thai food I had last Friday was a killer, not to mention the birthday dinner I had with Jay and his family.  Plus Saturday I got a little drunkies with my mami’s.   Still… with all that bullshit I managed to lose 2 pounds.  Holla!  Let’s see how this next week goes.  Wish me luck bitches!

A Diet For All To Watch

So if you didn’t notice from my pictures and videos, I am terribly over weight.  I’ve tried many diets over the years and nothing has worked.  It’s not that the diets I tried sucked… it’s that I have little will power to keep them going.

So here I am again attempting to change my life style, in hopes to lose weight.  This time I will be keeping a journal of my progress, and I will be giving an update weekly on how I am doing.

What is this change you ask?  Well it’s very simple really.  Eating smaller portions, calorie counting, and exercise.  Wish me luck bitches.
