Diet Update 05/25/10
May 25th
I didn’t lose anything this week… Possibly because of my lack of any exercise… not sure. Maybe it is just how things go… I’ll try and be as good as possible this week, and hope for better results next time.
How is everyone else doing with their diets?

29 Years Ago Today
May 25th
29 years ago today the world was damned by the birth of an unlikely rose. At first it seemed like any other rose… green stems, thorny with a small bud on top. But soon it began blossoming… though its petals did not look like the rest. They were bright, and purple in color. The aroma it oozed was strong and potent. One day a bee with an unusually long thick stinger flew too close to him, and suddenly like a black hole its suction grabbed a hold of this poor bee. The bee tried to fight its pull but its tiny wings were not strong enough. It pulled the bee in and out… in and out… again.. and again.. and again… until finally the bee released it’s poison into the purple rose and died.
So is life as Gary Jr.

The Amazing Race!
May 24th
You’ve got one week left to register for the Amazing Race on July 17th…
If you are wondering why I need registration by June 1st, it is basically because I have a shit load of stuff to plan and buy, and I need to know how many people I am buying for and what not…..
So far I have 6 teams signed up, and two others that I expect to get soon.
If you have any questions please feel free to ask me at either nick@deadat2am.com or sf.amazing.race@gmail.com
Also.. I have dropped the idea of “team names” so don’t worry about that.
and if you would like to help me in some way the day of the race, please let me know as well…. I already have 2 people helping me and I could use another 2.

Damn! Every goddamn time I lean forward on this freaking seat the motherfucking touchless sensor thing flushes the goddamn toilet and now my freaking asscheeks are wet!
Not that they haven’t been wet all week from the freaking New York humidity! Huhhhhnnns.
Lost Characters
May 20th
After burning through the first 5 seasons of lost as of late, I have been thinking about The Island a lot. So many mysteries, so many characters.
With only a few minutes of free time at work (not enough to watch an episode) I have decided to type up a few lists.
Top 5 Best Characters (rated by entertainment value)
5.Sayid
4. Locke
3. Ben
2. Hurley
1. Sawyer
Notice that the best characters are all men? So how about some love for the ladies. Not that there is a large pool of attractive women in lost but, here is are my five favorite, with Nick’s ranking system attached.
5. Claire – 3
4. Alex – 4 (I know she is 16 in the show, but in real life Tanya Ramonde is 22!)
3. Anna Lucia – 5
2. Naomi -5
1. Kate -5
The top three are all bombshells worth the poop. Kate’s mousiness is just too much for me to resist.
The New York Times
May 20th
Without a doubt one of the more brilliant spaces in New York is the High Line along 10th Ave. They took an old elevated railway and converted it into a garden/park walkway over the streets and through buildings along the Chelsea piers. Absolutely gorgeous and so smart. L l l l ll l l l ooo vvvv es it.
Indigenous plants embedded in old tracks, a water feature with benches in it to refresh yourself, wooden sunbathing benches, and seamless transitions from concrete path into garden beds and wooden benches. Brillballs 2013.

Totes lucked out on the flight — got to sit next to the hottie from the Cal crew team!! And if that wasn’t enough the third person in our row was a no-show so we had it to ourselves!!
I hope he liked the HJ I gave him under the $6 jetBlue blanket. Holler.
